What should Scotland aim for with the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26, in Glasgow next year?


Next November the world will descend on Glasgow for COP26. But, what does Scotland want to achieve by hosting the United Nations Climate Change Conference? Join our panel to choose the top five questions you want answered by the world’s climate experts and politicians.

How radical do governments need to be to avoid climate crisis? From green infrastructure and renewables investment; to sustainable new homes and efficient agriculture, the countdown to COP26 starts here.

Chaired by Gillian Martin MSP, Convener of Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee, this panel includes: 

  • Professor Dave Reay, Executive Director, Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation at the University of Edinburgh
  • Mike Robinson, Chief Executive, Royal Scottish Geographical Society
  • Dr Sarah Ivory, lecturer in Climate Change and Business Strategy, University of Edinburgh
